Screen Resolutions Are Getting Higher

The most popular screen resolution is now 1366×768, compared to 1024×768 in January 2012. 47% of screens are higher than 1366×768 in resolution, thanks in part to falling monitor prices and newer laptops pushing for “retina” displays at twice the normal resolution.

That means modern computer screens have at least 33% horizontal screen space and more vertical space. If you have a website that hasn’t been updated in the last 3 years, you should consider a redesign to take advantage of larger screens.
